Describing Egypt project
This is my photography project and what i do when i'm not working on Motion Graphics, 3D or color Grading.
it helped me become a better photographer, colorist and understand more about light and composition. it's the best and the most exhausting thing that i've done, the reason i'm involved in many disciplines when i should be focusing on only one or two.
I dive into VR projects because of this one.
In a nutshell, Describing Egypt is a 360 photography project that aims to provide access to ancient Egyptian tombs and temples from the comfort of your couch, it has provided lots and lots of scholars and Archaeologists with means to study Egyptian locations with ease by providing high quality 360 panoramas that can be viewed on any device as well as on VR headsets and also by providing preliminary information about each panorama and a site map so that you know exactly where you are standing inside of each location, maps and information are the result of many partnerships between us and the Theban mapping project and Osirisnet.net to name a few.
This project has been endorsed by many conservation experts and has been featured within the V&A museum ReACH Initiative (Reproduction of Art and Cultural Heritage) in a joint collaboration between the V&A museum and the Peri foundation.
